The very first institution by the God of Creation was the family. Throughout the early history of civilization, family was at the center of community life. Truly, it can be said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation.” God intended us to have strong, connected covenant families built upon the principles of His Word. The greatest attack of the enemy today in our world is against the family–the nuclear family: dad, mom & children. God defined marriage, and He defined family. In our culture, those institutions are being redefined to suit the selfish needs of those who reject God.
In the book of Acts, we find the story of the Philippian jailer. He feared for his life after the earthquake shook the jail doors open. Paul assured him that all the prisoners were there, and all was well. He surrendered his life to Christ at Paul’s invitation and received the promise that his family would be saved. That same night, his entire family came to know Christ.
Our world would change rapidly if every family would focus on winning every member to Christ. Regardless of the rejections of those who don’t know Christ, we must never give up. We must press the issue by continually sowing the seed of salvation.
On Sunday, November 17, at 5pm, I ask you to join me as we lay out a plan in 2025 to win our families to Christ.
Throughout the year, we will devote our ministries to the winning of our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. This relentless pursuit of lost souls is the calling of God upon our lives. We exist for such an endeavor. Do not miss this special night as we gather as one church to go into our world and win others for Christ.
